re: (Oh yeah, global warming.)

I think that you know my take on global warming.

But in case you have forgotten, I'll review the main points.

Scientists are smart people, but they are looking in the wrong direction. They are barking up the wrong tree so to speak.

It is true that the energy balance of our planet is being affected by human activities, but the activity that is under intense scrutiny right now is not the problem. If it was, then the average global air temperature would be warmer than it used to be, and that is not the case. In fact the upper atmosphere has become cooler than it used to be, only the oceans have become warmer.
The greenhouse effect does not explain such phenomenon.
The hypothesis that I have presented here does explain why the oceans are becoming warmer and the air is not warming at all or is becoming cooler.

Just to give an example of what has happened to the weather in this area recently.
At the beginning of January the temperature was in the double digits above zero on the Celsius scale, right now (February 4) it is in the minus 30 degree range.
I am sure that if you dig up records for this area you will probably find that there have been years with warmer days in January and colder days in February, but I am certain that such temperature records were not taken during the consecutive months of the same year.

If you take the average temperature during those months there may not be much difference between this year and other years in the past, but the "quickness" of the change is something that has not occurred in the years before our "atomic age."
In other words, the temperature change from hot to cold, or vice versa, happens quicker these days.
The "greenhouse effect" does not explain that type of a phenomenon.
