With understanding comes empathy, and most situations could be resolved rapidly. Not all, as where there is competition for scarce resources. Sometimes it's a fight.
Understanding and empathy must lead to one seeing that "Shock and Awe", large bombs dropped on an urban area, is state terrorism, for instance.
And I believe the "pissed" portion comes in because of frustration. What is clear to me is truly nonsense to some people, and what is clear to them is pure jingoism and propaganda to me.
And it's frustrating when people refuse to learn or study history. Some folks on these boards confuse political systems with economic systems, religions with nations. The difference is easy to learn, and they refuse. The history of the Palestinian and Israeli conflict is fascinating, and presents a different picture than the censored version fed us in the US.
Some of the folks resent, for instance, when students can learn about Islam or communism in colleges.
I do get pissed because of the cruel results of the refusal to learn, the inability to empathize, the refusal to recognize that causes have effects, and that the center of all iniquity does not lie 5 miles behind enemy lines, as Jung pointed out.

If you mean understanding and empathy, it's a slam dunk.
