It's terrible that people have died. This would be the first recorded incidence of humans being killed by a meteorite, but I'd like to know whether it actually was a meteorite. I wonder when/if/if ever it will be confirmed as such.
From memory I think the only other recorded fatality of a known creature by a meteorite was a dog somewhere.
