Bungee cords
Space rated bungee cords.
Some creative type just invented, patented and is marketing backpacking gear that uses 'bungee cords' to let the payload on your backpack frame bounce freely. His motion study and solution results in the ability to carry much heavier loads without tiring and back pain. As an old backpacker, I can appreciate the invention. Steal the idea for spacesuits.
