"Noctilucent Clouds" are visible many hours after sunset or before sunrise due to complex refraction paths around the arth's layered atmosphere.

fascinating, I hadn't heard of that.

Wait long enough and strange events accumulate SOMEWHERE. That's how statistics works...

Although I get your point about probablities, the question is when do we stop regarding it as a statistical coincidence, and start to call it something meaningful? That's not a loaded question - I really have no idea what this phenomenon is about.
