Can't resist... 'how about that Iapetus animation by Emily! It almost looks like Iapetu's 'dark feature' could be a large maria (impact crater) such as those on our moon. In our moon's case the maria is believed to have been filled with lava. We should see better images in Sept. from your link above, Alcaray. Thanks and Go Cassini!
