re:There goes stamp collecting
So, years later, I pull out my several rolls of Forever Stamps and save a few cents per stamp buy not having to buy stamps to cover the new rate hike.
What a bargain, but I don’t get how that helps the USPS cover their cost increases such as higher gas cost.
I kind of like the smaller denomination stamps. I just used a .19 to add to an envelope that weighed too much for the .39er, so I don’t have to run to the post office and waste fuel. With this new plan there doesn’t seem a way around other than doubling up the forever stamp.
The stamp collectors are going to have a fit too, but their collections might increase in value sooner than later.
