Your neighbors are more likely to be well-educated, creative professionals, tolerant and probably very glad to be accepted without prejudice by straight folks. And for hetero residents, particularly in San Francisco, you are likely to be eagerly sought out by straights of the opposite sex. The only problem I can forsee is keeping up with your neighbors' flair for home improvement and decoration.
I live in a retirement community in S Florida (55 and over) and I love it, for many of the same reasons. And now that retirees are not moving in because of high prices, retired gays are slowly taking their place. They are good neighbors and very community minded. Besides, the Witnesses NEVER come pounding on our doors!
