Not only is that a bizarre story, but I think they are letting this guy off waay too easy. 15 months unchecked probation? Instead of giving the "lady" of his desires some flowers, she wanted a piece of a dismembered hand? And they're going to let him off? Because he "meant no harm"?
Hell, there are people on unchecked probation for possession of marijuana and assorted paraphenalia, maybe even got caught driving after having three or four beers or a half bottle of wine.
Will your lawyer say you made a "silly mistake"?
Can you say you meant "no harm"??
Would you want this guy as YOUR doctor? Your surgeon?
Better yet, would you want him dating your daughter?
