Space/Science » in reply to Homemade Suit For Chinese Spacewalk

"Mother-daughter combo can knit 2 a year."

At home. In the back yard during good weather, around the fire inside during poor. Titanium needles, even so go through 6 pairs on each suit.

Unfortunately, that's 6 10-hour days per week, with only Chinese New Years off.

The larger sizes which would be needed by Westerners would take proportionately longer.

All part of the "neo-Great Leap Forward" movement. Chairman Mao is only dead in body, not spirit.

Arf (Those are just the space suit cozies, Bow. Not the suits? Whew! I feel better.)
