Fer crissake!
Study: "Being overweight increases likelihood of taking a year to conceive."
Now why the hell might that be? Only a year? They can do it in a year!!?? I don't believe that it can be done in one year, unless both are on 100/calorie/day diets for the first 11 months of that year. And then build up strength for 3 weeks. And then maybe.
And I'm sure it takes many, many slender couples a year to conceive, too, and some of them never do.
Let's think about it. What does the process of conception involve? Why would obese couples have a more difficult time of it. Besides mentally, emotionally and physically, that is. I mean, it might be hard to get interested, to have the energy, to have the ability, and then mechanically it might be a bit of a reach.
On second thought, let's not think about it.
I'm feeling a bit like Dana Garvey's "Church Lady" here.
Arf (It's not obesity, Bow. It's a famine prevention program in preparation for global warming, that's just "carbo-loading". Right. And my drinking was just "pre-need anesthesia".
Follow-up: (Duh! dept.) "Obese couples have tougher time having babies."
