"I don't think there is a person alive, who wants to see Iraq prosper and thrive as much as I do."

George has his feet kicked up on the desk and he is spinning his glasses with his right hand.

"Tell me what you have gotten from our new Iranian friend?"

I twist uncomfortably in my chair, with Rumsfeld gone and the agency under fire overseas, results are more important than ever.

"The general has revealed the locations of all the major nuclear facilities and we are at this moment monitoring them. Two facilities are being relocated, due to this defection, but we are tracking the movement. The other facilities are simply too complex and developed to relocate on short notice."

I watch as he stops spinning his reading glasses, suddenly aware that it is somewhat distracting.

"Continue."

"The general has given us the complete timetable for nuclear bomb development - and, most importantly has provided us the names of the countries and nations giving them restricted materials and assistance. We now have several French, Belgian and Russian companies under the microscope, they've been almost racing to get the bomb into..."

"Do you know what bothers me?" George interrupts, "What bothers me is that I am watching the world fall into a moral abyss, and even as the most powerful man on the face of the Earth, I am fighting something even more powerful. Do you know what it is?"

I shake my head.

"Evil incarnate. Evil is growing in these nations alongside the centuries of decadence and perversion. The power of evil to influence mens' minds is something I can do little about. Evil acts, I react. Evil acts again, I react again. Tell me - how do you defeat evil, when every man can succumb?"

"I find that evil eventually defeats itself."

"Yes. Over time. But what about the billions around the world who live and die under evil regimes? Why should an American live a somewhat free life and our Venezualan brothers live under a poor man's Stalin? Saddam is dead and buried, Osama is dead and yet 'evil' pops up more folks to take their place. It's like I'm battling Satan and he is winning."

I twist again, still quite uncomfortable in the chair and I can see he really is convinced it is Satan pulling the strings in Iran, France, Belgium, Russia, Venezuala, North Korea and all the rest. He is awaiting a response and I debate whether or not to share some insight. I probably will regret it, but It is as good as an opportunity as any to discuss philosophy.

"Yes, evil's hand is quite evident in the world's churnings. Each man is like a television set and can channel good or bad. Lots of folks are still spiritually young, and have not the ability to understand the value of selfless actions over selfish ones - and as a result every single action that is selfish in nature, allows them to be conduits of evil. Like puppets, their petty selfish actions serve a greater evil. Call it Satan, Beezelbub, Chavez or the Dixie chicks, evil incarnate will find selfish people to manipulate to pull mankind down the spiritual toilet and find several very selfish folks to lead the others and pull the handle on the whole lot. They find themselves washing down into filthy underworlds, fixated only on selfish thoughts and actions, mired in a cesspool of selfishness."

"I know you don't believe in God, but I do, and I feel God has placed me here to try and help. I am being tested and billions of folks fate lies in my actions."

"You're the global Ti-dee bowl man, trying to keep the world clean. You try to clean up after the world dumps on you."

George smiles and laughs at the vivid mental picture.

"I suppose in a way, I am. So what, in this contrived analogy does that make you?"

"I guess I'm the guy who tune ups the Ti-dee bowl man's speed boat engine."

George smiles and brings his feet down from the desk.

"So back to Iran. If say, you were to put together agency SDAI strike teams that can disable the nuclear facilities, and had whatever you need in manpower or military equipment, how soon can it be done?"

"Two weeks planning and two weeks to maneuver necessary men and materials - a month. It would require some teams in Europe too. I have here a list of the corporations in Europe holding parts for yet another, weapons grade uranium refinery. We have several teams in development overseas already, as I was anticipating your request. We're heading into the hot season for the Middle East and as we speak the other facilities are trying to relocate their already processed weapons grade Uranium. If you really want to do this, sooner will be better than later - just give the word. If everything goes well, we could set back their nuclear arms capacity for another decade."
