re: Tracking bin Laden
There has been speculation- denied by all in power - that French snipers had Bin Laden in range and were ordered not to shoot him. Contrary to the anti-French nonsense of the US media, the French military is very competent and has a history of "hit-and-run" campaigns, as does the UK SAS. It is difficult to believe that given their druther's one or other couldn't track and assassinate Mr Laden

Personally I suspect the present US administration wouldn’t touch Bin Laden even if he they found him drugged, blindfolded and tied to a tree.
