O'Neill's arguments are back.
Orbital outposts could indeed re-create 1G in space, contrary to any accessible world.
But there's a catch: to create 1G through rotation, the station needs to be very big, meaning its orbit will have to be very high....right inside the Van Allen Belt. Meaning spacecrafts will need more fuel to reach it.
