You seem to think that being in business somehow makes you immune to normal human greed and larceny, UNLESS, you're seduced into it by some evil government agency. Government and business are the same thing, the same people, the same ethos. They feed off each other and cannot exist without each other. Show me a businessman without political connections or a government bureaucrat without business ties, if not a company of his own. They are the same people, the roles and the jobs are interchangeable. This great ideological government vs business struggle is a phony smokescreen to obscure the truth that the two are in cahoots to rip us off. As you point out, business needs government to put the fix in. Businessmen, bureaucrats, lawyers, politicians, they all inhabit the same world of abstraction and bullshit and careerism.
We may have to put up with these business majors and student council types because they are part of the fabric of society and we need them too, just like we need cops and scientists, and real estate investment counselors and yoga instructors, but let's stop portraying them as heroes. They just work here, just like the rest of us.
