It probably should go without saying that Aussie light switches would work the other way around. Probably has something to do with Coriolis forces.

Comic book news:

--A trade paperback of the "Fafhrd and Grey Mouser" series done by Howard Chaykin and Mike Mignola is out. It loses a bit from the books due to the inevitable severe editing, and some parts look like movies missing a scene or two, but still a great buy. I'm assuming, of course, that everyone has already read Lieber's original books...

--I may have already mentioned that Baron and Rude's "Nexus" series is being reprinted in its entirety in snazzy hardcovers. If so, sorry.

--Jack Kirby's "Kamandi" is also getting the hardcover reprint treatment. In color, for a change. Hope the rest of his DC work gets the same treatment.

The Pond in the Back Yard:

One of the waterlilies recovered, and is growing. Barely. The hyacinth looks like crap. The algae thrives. I could probably fly a personal jet offset by the CO2 absorbed by the greenery in my pond. Stuck four more goldfish in a week or so back. They vanished, and I don't think it was racoons. If they died, they apparently cremated themselves. I thought dead goldfish had the decency to float up to the top.

Been procrastinating on my taxes. So would you if you had to write those checks. If people had to write quarterly checks instead of having their taxes gently bled from them while they slept, we would be living in a very different world. The socialist who invented withholding was a genius.
