What's going on
The area to the Northeast between Baghdad and Iran has become a center for al Qaeda, with Anbar and Baghdad getting too hot for comfort.
Look for a lot more military activity here in the Diyala area. The "leave Baghdad and lay low until the Coalition goes away" trick isn't working as well as al Qaeda would like.
