Gingrich has been whitewashed after, you'll remember, he pilloried Clinton for an adulterous affair while Gingrich was engaged in an adulterous affair. Piety runs deep in Conservatives. They are superior moral beings.

Gingrich has been redeemed for the affair. However, what about the pious hypocrisy? What about the judgmental superiority he was parading around? Does he need to apologize to Bill Clinton, on national TV? Probably, to be fair and honest. And if he were truly repentent he'd demand to do that. Would ask for the time. But for them that's a different issue.

Hypocrisy can't be an concern here. Conservatives seem go glory in it, delight in outdoing themselves. It's sort of a contest, I think.

Now, Thompson's heart is in the right place but they just can't find where he tithes. And that's the greater sin. Were he a "Christian", he'd be paying the establishment.

Ya gotta love 'em. Or at least appreciate 'em. The way they look at the world and never see themselves. One wonders how they ever comb their hair - they just can't see themselves in the mirror.
