Space/Science » in reply to Apollo 17 second moonwalk: 7h 37 min 22 seconds

Thanks

"Astronauts Cernan and Schmitt performed the longest single lunar surface excursion at 7 hours, 37 minutes, 22 seconds. They also logged the longest total excursion time on the Moon at 22 hours, 5 minutes, 4 seconds."

But did "surface excursion" time mean total time in a vacuum- meaning did exit and enter a pressurized compartment at beginning and end of that time?
