I haven't joined the forum, since I haven't had anything to write about there. I've lurked plenty though.

When I play multiplayer my pilot name is Reck. If I join the BTRL forum I'll use the same name.

BTW I've had fair success with $50 video cards. I've used both ATI and NVIDIA. The NVIDIAs had 128 MB Ram and the ATI 256. I say fair success, because I broke one of them playing Need For Speed High Stakes. I think I overheated my box and broke the card. It still works, but can't do 3d high frame rate stuff on it anymore. I have it running my second monitor. I just bought the ATI (along with another fan for my case) recently and have been more impressed with it than the NVIDIAs. Haven't dared to run NFS on it again yet.

IF you decide to buy a video card, check you motherboard to see if you have either an AGP or PCI Express slot. If neither than you need to look for a regular PCI card.
