Two of my High School buddies have done one year in Iraq. Both may be going back.
Jimmy was in the Army. Now he is in the Texas National Guard.
Joe is in the Army.
Both are around my age (40) and married with kids.

One of my High School girlfriends, Toni, is in the Air Force and serving in Afghanistan.

My Cousin Mike, former Marine, was in Iraq back when the war started. He is home now.

My Cousin Keith is 3rd generation Air Force and forth generation military. He served in Afghanistan and was in that first helicopter to go down. He is currently in Iraq.

And I tried joining the military in 1990 to fight the first Gulf War, but they wouldn't take me for my poor eyesight.
