Bush & Co. are madmen. This looks like the prelude to attacking Iran.
"Deployment order planned to lessen ‘surge’s’ strain on stretched-thin Army."
"WASHINGTON - Coming on the heels of a controversial “surge†of 21,000 U.S. troops that has stretched the Army thin, the Defense Department is preparing to send an additional 12,000 National Guard combat forces to Iraq and Afghanistan, defense officials told NBC News on Thursday."
And that "surge" is more like 40,000 troops counting the support needed. Plus 20,000.
Bush certainly didn't learn anything from Vietnam. Of course, he wasn't there, but one of those many, many books he reads could have included at least one of them. Even Kissinger says this can't be won with troops.

"12,000 more Guard troops may be going to Iraq." Over and above.
