The Iraqi Shia-government feels no need to do anything to please its American benefactors, they are only waiting for us to leave so they can unleash their militias on the Sunnis, with full Iranian support. Al-Sadr's recent call for massive anti-USA demonstrations is probably the first step in this process of ethnic cleansing. Ironically, the only way we can really perform a humanitarian service here is to protect both sides from each other, but that implies the use of force, and we seem to only be succeeding in getting them both pissed off at us. I am shocked and awed by the ineptness of this occupation.
