Don't call me "Shirley."

Of course, the point is that if milk costs two dollars, most people aren't going to hop into the car and look around if it suddenly costs three dollars. Nor is anyone going to be overly worried that they will wake up some morning and all of a sudden a gallon of milk will cost ten dollars.

Despite what the news story implied, it doesn't make you "out of touch with The People" if you don't have the price of milk memorized.

Believe me, for things that cost more, like computers, appliances, furniture, etc. I do a LOT of research. I also know the price of things that shove the price in my face, like a gas pump does.

You might find it entertaining to look up the huge amount of price controls there already are on milk, a cooperative effort between government and producers who don't like competition. Check this story out. Note who signed the bill. Hasn't been a free market in milk for many, many years.
