CEV-LSAM
Wondering.....
What if, in Low Earth Orbit, right after CEV docking with the LSAM, the crew transfered to the LSAM, activated it and de-activated the CEV? And re-activated and de-activated the CEV until after the crew came back from the Moon surface?
That way, they could test the CEV before lunar orbit and see if it would perform nominally after the Moon stay.
Also, there would be much less energy spent inside the CEV.
That could save some weight for the CEV.
