"Three-mile barrier will divide Baghdad groups torn by sectarian hate." Now that's the way to solve the problem. Maybe the US should have had a "Mason-Dixon Wall".
Meantime, Robert Gates tells 'em, "U.S. patience is limited." Sounds like a Democrat, doesn't he. How might the US truly convince 'em that patience was limited, besides empty words?
"Gates said the Iraqis must, as quickly as possible, push through legislation on political reconciliation and the sharing of oil revenues among the Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds."
Except for the oil bill, which was written in America for Big and Western Oil, why wasn't that done, say, last year? Or last month? Or last week? Why is the American Secretary of Defence having to threaten them to do that?
It seems ridiculous. Clearly the attempt at puppet "democracy" isn't working even a little bit. Any successful government will have to include the insurgents and involves the removal of the foreign occupying troops.
Just ask the British. They learned that over 200 years ago.

Reconcilliation - "U.S. forces erect (physical) wall between Shiites, Sunnis."
