Taken at the air show was shown on Fox News earlier today, (have not been able to find a link to it) shows what looks like a puff of white vapor or possibly fire near the right side engine air intake.
The fighter immediately begins to slow and leave the formation.
Too soon to speculate, but it reminded me of the MiG-29 bird strike/compressor stall crash at Le Bourget.
