I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I had a Motorola a few years ago and it was a great phone.
There are plenty of websites (Motorola.com being one, of course) where you can find Android help, guides and tutorials. Google searches, as always, are a great way to find specific answers.
For me, one of the keys to getting along with Android is remembering that there's a difference between tapping something vs touching and holding (sometimes called a "long tap"). The latter will quite often bring up a context menu with further choices.
