Been here, done this...
There was a thread on the "Bad Astronomer" forum where the author of this idea argued with other posters using the standard combination of a vast storehouse of scientific jargon, and astounding lack of simple reason and common sense.
You're welcome to plow through it. You'll get an unpleasant sense of deja vu as people try to discuss science, and find themselves sinking deeper into the amorphous crap.
