Well, there's some doubt as to whether the US is engaged in a political solution.
The point I was making was that one more person telling the Iraqis one more time to clean up the mess the US has made of their country is a little silly.
And that telling others to do what you can't is not engaging in a process. The Bush Administration does regards reconcilliation and compromise as failure. Or as one True Believer says, "unconditional surrender".
So, everyone else should compromise, just get along. Bushies, though, need all of their own way all of the time. That's different.
