Thank you for this, and the drummers.

I remembered this and you saved me the search for it.

This year's multi-state collaborative summer reading program has to do with mysteries and puzzles. Margie Palatini wrote a children's book called The Web Files, about a couple of duck detectives in a barnyard, which is directly derivative from Dragnet and from this bit in particular, only the stolen objects are a peck of perfect purple almost-pickled peppers. The book was featured at a workshop, where a lot of the adults didn't understand the reference! The listserv gets a YouTube link this week.

And have you followed any of the YouTube links to look at the drummers? Oh. My. God. Buddy Rich, Ed Shaughnessy... and Neil Peart, who is a genius drummer and lyricist for whom I thank Canada. Rush (and I don't mean "Limbaugh") will release a new album this week...
