Why?
Why is the Enterprise the only ship in the whole quadrant that can
respond to an alien threat or emergency in time?
Why do children on sitcoms conveniently disappear for entire episodes
when the plots do not require their presence?
Heroes is a good series, and very good for a network program. As for
why the character may end up exploding in NYC rather than somewhere
less annoying, the plots often deal with characters seemingly trapped
in their destinies and their attempts to break free of them. Last night's
episode was about what would happen if the Heroes failed to stop the
explosion.
