On one hand I can understand why Mexicans come to America. If I were in their shoes, I would do it to. And most are decent hard working people.

On the other hand they burden our schools and medical system. American Tax payers support them, but we tax payers are overburdened as it is. How much more can we take?

I also don’t like the gangs many of their children belong to.

What I would like to see is the border land become military land, and move military bases on them. We already have an air force base in Del Rio, and you can bet no illegals cross there.

Illegals should all be deported back to their countries.

Then we need to encourage Mexico to change. They want to live and work in a country like America. Fine, lets encourage them to change their country like America. Perhaps if we don’t let them in America anymore, they’ll fight to change their country.

Neither political side is doing anything to solve the problem. I think they are afraid of loosing the Hispanic vote.

I do know as Governor of Texas, Bush has strong ties with the President of Mexico. Bush has always respected the Mexican culture, which is fine, but I wish he would do something about them coming over here illegally.

I do not have a problem with Mexicans going through the process of becoming American Citizens. They need to do it legally.
