Potential warming of french relations
This is a good thing- a possible first step towards revitalizing NATO and the ailing/withering Euro-American alliance. However, if the Bush administration continues with its notion of foreign policy that: 'relationships with america are a one way street', it could poison this promising development and cause even deeper damage. Our administration needs to pull out a very large array of carrots for france to encourage this small step back towards strategic partnership.
