I can’t find anything on the plot. It looks like the story starts in our universe, but somewhere it switches to the mirror Universe.
I am thinking that Chekov, Uhura, and Captain Harriman get sent to this mirror universe. At first I thought we were seeing their mirror universe counterparts, but when Uhura asks Chekov about “Non-interferenceâ€- that sounds more like a Federation thing than the Mirror Universe. Still, I am not sure.
It does look like Captain Harriman is responsible for Chekov’s family’s death.
Then there is the first three minutes.
I think this is the guy asking Ethan Phillip’s character where Kirk was Who is he, thou? I am thinking it may be Captain Pike. He said Kirk couldn’t save him 40 years earlier. That would have been during the “5 year mission†time period of the original series, according to the timeline this movie is using.
If you trust Wikipedia, here is what they have to say;
Star Trek: Of Gods and Men
The new, unofficial Star Trek miniseries Star Trek: Of Gods and Men, directed by Tim Russ and scheduled for premiere April 15th, 2007, though it takes place in the mirror universe, and during the preview, the Enterprise NCC-1701 is shown repeatedly with the mirror universe logo emblazoned on the hull. However, the film is actually set in an alternate timeline in which Kirk never existed.
Taken from here.
So is it a Mirror Universe alternate timeline? That would be interesting.
One other thing, that Next Generation Book that takes place in the Mirror Universe is called Dark Mirror, not Mirror Mirror. Mirror Mirror was the name of the Episode that first showed the Mirror Universe.
