And Senators get a maximum of two terms.

That would be 10 years in the house and 12 years in the senate.

And eliminate completely their retirement program.

They can suffer on Social Security and finance their own retirement through 403-b programs like the rest of us... Oh we'll provide matching funds for their 403-b contributions... Something like 100% of the 1st 2%, 50% of the next 5% and 25% of the next 3%. maximum contribution would be 16% of their salaries.

Imagine the change in Washington!

Stay at home moms would run for congress after their kids go to school.

Accountants would take a few years off to go to WAshington.

Doctors would run.

We would get a change in faces that would be much more interesting than the arrogant career political hacks who we are forced to suffer through now.

3 parties would stand a chance against the two major parties.

It would be wonderful.

After 22 years...The "lifer's" would be forced to go home and work in the private sector.
