re: Good Popular Mechanics article on wind power

I'm away from home visiting Cape Cod using library internet, where the windpower debate rages on. The beautiful people (Kennedy, Kerry, Romney) and their waterfront estates must not be afflicted by the sight of renewable energy. They want it inland (1) in the poor community of New Bedford, knowing full well that it ain't evah gonna happen that way in the crowded East coast.

At max the windmills would show under 1 degree from the coast, less than 2 full moons and from most vantages well under half a degree. Interestingly, finally some of the local enviros have actually come over to the pro windmill side. I saw my 1st pro wind signs & bumper stickers. It's a real contentious issue here.

Disclosure: I figure my western beach view would show some of the towers at around half a degree.
