At various times in my life I have been involved in researching the computational foundations of cognition, and I have learned a lot- even more I have learned a lot baout what is unknown... and even what is fundamentally unknowable to classical methods of inquiry. However. Nothing I have ever encountered describes these sheer, simple, beautiful leaps of intelligence:

This sort of hard problem, so elegantly solved with so little force. I stand in absolute awe. To be sure, this sort of thing is the kind of rabbit hole into which billions of private industry, public and military dollars could be poured. A problem that encompasses AI, Computability Theory, Probablility, Sensor design... Solved with a small shrug and a "why don't we do it this way"? That even kills a whole other bird on the ricochet.
And, might I add, the work of a consrtium of fellow CMU geeks.
Righteous geekery, brathas.
