I forsaw something like this a few years ago.

A few years ago, while chatting with some computer geek friends, I predicted that one day we would have a special wallpaper for our homes, that would be hooked up to a computer. On this wallpaper we could show movies or anything else that can be displayed on a computer monitor.

If you wanted to change the color of your walls or add a pattern, it would be simple process on your computer. You could even put any kind of artwork or pictures on you walls.

It would be a huge, paper-thin, monitor that covered your walls and anything you could put on your computer screen, you could put on your walls. Heck, you wouldn’t even need a computer screen anymore- your walls would be your screen.

Technology is almost there for this to happen.

The only downside I see is the energy cost for running such a thing. Of course, when no one is in the room, it could be shut down. Sensors, alerting the computer that someone is in the room, could turn it on.

It would probably start out in an office room or media room, and eventually spread through the whole house.

Husbands could rejoice- no more painting!
