Some spectacular commercials, and appealing gimmicks, but basically, I want my phone to be a phone.

My phone is often carried in a pants pocket with loose change, and sometimes keys. It gets dropped, sometimes on sidewalks. I've sat on it, and dropped and old one in a tide pool (along with myself). That one had to be replaced.

Down at Verizon, I can only now get a cell phone that's waterproof and ruggedized, and that's going to be my next phone. I'll get an IPhone the day I can sit on it or drop it in a tidepool without wrecking it. Good grief, the whole front is a touchscreen. What will that do in my pocket?
