With a descent & landing sequence that complicated I'm wondering if this thing will fail, as Gary used to say. It seems to go against good engineering practice of minimizing complexity while maximizing robustness. There seem so many things which could go wrong during the various steps of the sequence. And it hangs on wires??? Which then magically disconnect when the delivery craft receives a signal from the lander, that ground has been reached? How about the very much simpler MPL (parachute & retros only) which failed simply because the computer misinterpreted a spurious signal generated by the opening landing legs? It decided the signal meant ground had been reached, and switched off the engines ( the accepted most likely cause).
BTW I am asking you again Carl: would you please ever bother to quote a link? If you can't be bothered with proper html formatting of links, could you at least please just quote the link so that others here could copy & paste it into their browser. That would save people having to spend time googling to find what you're talking about, as I had to do.
For Kreissakes you were at the website, looking at the page, couldn't you at least cut & paste the URL into your goddam post? How much effort does that take?
