I was taking my basic Astro 100 class as my first college class after getting out of the Air Force for a summer class. One of the local news channels came and interviewed our instructor and several students in the class. I got interviewed.

I didn't make the cut to get on TV.

I think it had something to do with the fact that I, rather long-windedly and without stopping to take a breath, told them that George Lucas was proof that there was life "out there" since his script of Star Wars was based on a partially burned copy of the "Journal of the Whills" that made it through re-entry onto Earth after millennia of travel through intergallactic, then interstellar, space in it's journey towards Earth after the first large spacecraft that tried leaving the Star Wars galaxy was torn apart while attempting to pass through its galactic version of the van Allen Belt.
