I spent Saturday morning at Coon Dog Days in Saluda. Quite entertaining. Mrs. Podrock and I were in Ashville on the fifth, only learned about the Ashville BBQ then, sorry that we had to choose where we got to spend the few hours we had left in the Blue Ridge before catching a plane back to Colorado. Saluda was closest to where we were staying, so that won out. Woulda liked some more BBQ, though. Can't seem to get enough when we're touring the Carolinas.

The only political tent we saw there was the Polk County Democrats, right in front of the police station. Thought that was interesting, given my assumptions about the political demographics in the western corner of North Carolina.
