News Flash: Professor of "Media Ecology" doesn't like Bush.

Miller believes both the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen by a conspiracy, and is a signatory to the 9/11 Truth Statement, implying a dark Bush conspiracy to destroy the WTC.

Pardon me if I take his judgments on Bush's sanity with a grain of salt. "Media ecology?" Cripes.

Now, let me play shrink for a minute:

I think I've figured out what the problem is with some academics. Deep down they know damn well they are living in an insulated environment, where they are paid and praised for their vast and etheric thoughts and writings, and that they would probably be slinging fries out in the real world. The books they write rarely sell to the general public, and often a lot of their sales are due to having their books be required reading for their students. Few of them are getting rich at what they are doing, and sometimes only tenure keeps them from being tossed out to the fry counter.

This surfaces in their psychology as a immense sense of denied entitlement. They are convinced they are far more brilliant and deserving than those outside the bubble who are becoming wealthy and successful (Bill Gates isn't even a college graduate!) and this manifests itself as a hatred and envy of non-academic achievement, particularly financial or political.

Small wonder so many of them turn into such bitter and angry little leftist goofballs. "Professor" is one of the few jobs where you can be crazy and still keep it.

Tongue in cheek, of course...
