Thunderbirds are CGI! ("Look! No strings!")
A trailer from a proposed project that I guess never happened. Turning the "Supermarionation" look into CGI is such an obvious concept I'm amazed nothing came of it.
Back in the 1960s, the entire series of Gerry Anderson programs using puppets was designed around the fact that marionettes, no matter how good you are, look stupid walking. Anderson did a clever end run around this (no pun intended) by creating shows where the characters were usually shown sitting down and driving some spectacular vehicle.
With CGI, you could finally get past that.
