re: Hubbert Peak (Interactive World Map)

Too bad we can't buy one-person capacity vehicles (Pods) to move us back and forth to work and then add a pod or two if needed to move 2-3 or more at one time.

Moving sidewalks. You attach your pod in the morning; it joins the Pod Network and carries you to work on a pre-programmed route, then home again in the evening. Only need room to park pods, not cars. The network "sidewalks" move so no gas or oil needed. We could read the newspaper while the Pod carries us to work or work on our laptops or just stare at the scenery as it goes by.

Or BusPods. Your Pod connects up to the BusPod and keeps adding, dropping off Pods as it goes.

No car crashes that way, either.

I'm sure it's impractical in some way(s) but what fun! We could become the Pod people, instead of the iPod people.
