Please take time to visit the CERN LHC website.
At the world's largest laboratory and science instrument
about the Swiss-French border, the Large Hadron Collider,
nearly completed, is already undergoing power tests
and by the end of next May it should be ready to smash
a million pairs of protons a second at the required energy levels.
We'll finally see if the Higg's Boson realy does exist.
I hope ther are no Luddites out there brandishing placards
saying, "Save the Protons"; or, "the Protons have Rights Too!"
:-)
cheers.
Jacob
