Might this be Bush's excuse to change the nature of the US mission to one of air support for Iraqi policemen and troops as they reclaim their country from tyranny?
After all, isn't "peace" what the US wants to leave behind? The al-Maliki "democracy"?
What possible reason could there to be for any US troops to be left in Iraq by next weekend, given that the Iraqi "democracy" is saying they can handle the situation?
