ISS magnitude predictions
Has anyone noticed that the magnitude predictions for ISS passes on Heavens above are much brighter than they used to be? There’s a prediction of –2.6 morning and –1.8 evening on August 1st. It is also predicting a -2.4 in the morning and –2.2 for the evening on Aug. 3rd for my sky. I presume it’s because of the new configuration of the solar wings on the station. I am expecting it to get even brighter when they get the other 2 sets of solar panels attached, and even brighter yet when the European and Japanese modules arrive.
