Anyone involved in local Astronomy Clubs? that branch out into personal sidewalk astronomy locations?

some of us in our club are doing just that, reaching out to the public, teaching kids and parents alike in the importance of what is above our heads at night. We bring our personal telescopes to local ice cream or snowball stands, with owners permissions of course. We use flyers to advertise who we are and when we'll be there. It's a huge success in my area, kids and parents will line up for ice cream and wander over to the telescopes. We'll get tons of questions from kids, and parents too. Parents will then bring the kids to our club meetings to further the interest.

I'm in the process myself of setting up one of these events at a local coffee shop in town.
